There are many Countries and a few Continents/Islands in the Night Angel World. Here is a list and a brief description of those places and the people from their lands.
Midcryu - Midcryu is the largest Continent. It holds most of the Countries of the Night Angel World, and boasts most of the more powerful ones as well. It isn't without it's corruption though, personified by the Sa'kage. Midcryu people vary greatly from country to country. A great many of these people are gifted in the Talent, or magic as it is also called.
Seth - Seth is a chain of Islands. It is ruled by one family, descendants of Solon the Stormrider and his Queen Kaede. Most people here are tan, pirates of sorts. Almost all the population sails, and boasts clan rings in their skin be it ears, cheeks, nose, or anywhere else. The royalty however, does not have these rings. Outcasts have their rings ripped out viciously to mark them permanently as unwelcome. Sethi people also do not harbor the same standards of dress as Midcryu, being mostly naked all the time. The Sethi boast a great understanding of swordsmanship and some even become Master mages. Seth's military is mostly naval, made up of mages, ships, and swordsmen.
Ladesh - Ladesh is a very large, rich Continent. Some say it may even be larger than Midcryu, but no one has ever been able to authenticate this. Ladeshians are dark skinned, and dark haired. Ladesh has a monopoly on silk, a soft fabric that most of the world desires. A majority of Ladeshians are tall and quick, some are quite skilled in magic as well as lances and swords. Ladesh has a medium sized military, made of mages, maja, and swordsmen.
Gandu - Gandu is a small Island that trains the most gifted Healers in all the world. With the Green Mage School in it's borders, most of the Island works night and day to train or serve these very gifted Healers. Gandu people are normal in many ways, tan but not as much as the Sethi. The clothing customs of Gandu are more like lavish Ladesh than Seth, leaning slightly toward the more fancy Midcryu styles. Gandu has barely any military.
Cenaria - Cenaria has been over-run many times, but now stands strong. They look to the High King, who came from Cenaria as Logan Gyre. The Sa'kage of Cenaria was a force feared by all, but disbanded over time and the Shinga, or leader of the Sa'kage became legitimate and then became their ruler, Duchess Gwinvere, and her descendants continue to rule. Cenarian wetboys are assassins with an edge, they boast Talent that can mask them, making killing easier. As Durzo said, assassins have targets, wetboys have deaders. Cenarians are simple, varying height and skin colors, though mostly white. Since the coming of the High King, Cenaria's military power has grown and they now are able to defend themselves quite easily.
Waeddryn - Waeddryn is a large country that boasts more craftsman and trade power than most of Midcryu. Powerful and benevolent enough that the High King has not made them join his Empire, yet. The Waeddryn people prefer lavish clothing, along with odd old-world customs like ringing their spouse. There are rumors that some of the older bloodlines have pointy ears.
Khalidor - Khalidor was once a desolate wasteland, for the most part. Now, after the battle with Khali and the destruction of the Vir, Khalidor flourishes. Along with it's own capital, Khalidor is also home to the Throne City of the High King, split in half to accommodate the High King and his representative on the Khalidorian throne. Native Khalidorians are pale and most have a height advantage on the rest of Midcryu. Since the destruction of the Vir, Khalidor only boasts a few powerful mages, but still excels in swordsmanship and archery.
Ossein - This small country uses most of it's resources to train female mages, or magae, in the Chantry. This female magic school produces many talented magae whose talents range from healing to battle. Of the locals, nothing much is really known. They are a peaceful people, and rely on their neighbors and the magae in its borders for protection.
Alitaera - Not only boasting one of the most powerful armies of Midcryu, Alitaera also contains within it's borders the mage school Sho'Fasti. Alitaera's hierarchy is much more militaristic than any other country. Generals are treated like kings, while the King gains his power by being the most powerful General. From time to time, Alitaerians may war in their borders to determine a King. Most mages in the borders of Alitaera are from other countries, though occasionally there are a few natives with the Talent.
Ceura - A large country bordering Cenaria, Ceura boasts arguably the best swordsmen in all of Midcryu. The master swordsmen are named sa'ceurai, though the hierarchy is based on the level of society the man is born into. Lantano Garuwashi became king after acquiring the Blade of Heaven, which was actually a newly forged ruse. (The Blade of Heaven is actually Curoch, or was before Feir Cousat made the fake) Ceurans are very big on honor and will suicide if their sword is lost, for one cannot live without his soul, which the fighters of Ceura believe is their sword. Ceurans vary greatly in appearance like Cenarians and Alitaerians. Sa'ceurai are distinguishable because they braid a lock of their fallen enemy's hair into their own after they kill them. Each sa-ceurai has a long lock that is never cut for just that reason.
Friaku - A small country lead by Talented warriors. Only those warriors with Talent can become goranthi and lead their clansmen. The goranthi are kin to berserkers, and fight with a power that can only be fueled by Talent. All of Friaku's military is made up of goranthi and their underlings, making Friaku a very hard country to invade and occupy. Friakans are quite tan, muscular, and almost barbaric, as well as just a little shorter than average.
Lodricar - Lodricar was released from Khalidorian tyranny at the coming of High King Gyre. With the destruction of the Vir, Talent has flourished in Lodricar, and many would-be mages have began their schooling in one of the mage schools, including the Chantry for it's female Talented. Talented not only in magic, Lodricar makes up a large portion of the High King's personal guard. Lodricari are pale, though not as tall as Khalidorians. They prefer sword to magic, so tend to be more muscular.
Modai - Modai boasts the mage school of Sho'Cendi. Many mages enroll in this school to learn many arts including fire magic, earth magic, water magic, and occasionally Making, which is a form of magical blacksmithing. Modai people are short and quick, making powerful mages with sharp minds. Most of their army is made up of Talent-wielding fighters, though most of them tend to use swords until they have time for spell-casting.
The Freeze - The Freeze is the ever-frozen, far-north part of Midcryu. Completely over-run by barbarians, this country is not very developed at all. Some barbarians seem to be able to use the Talent, but don't get the proper schooling. They spend their days as shamans, mostly treating illnesses in their tribes. The Plateau is where many tribes come to make a more simple living. The barbarians are sloppy at best with swords, but their sheer numbers and disregard for life tend to keep people from trying to civilize them. Most barbarians are dirty and strong, buffeted by the harsh place they live into twisted people. Strange things happen in The Freeze.
Ymmur - Ymmur is most known for it's mounted archers. These archers are very gifted, helped by the strong short-bows that only Ymmur can manufacture. Talented Ymmuri are gifted killers, or even better archers. Ymmuri stalkers, professional killers like Cenarian wetboys, kill for reasons like vengeance instead of for money. Some may venture out to one of the mage schools, honing their Talent skills for other purposes. Ymmuri are on the tall side, with olive-type skin, slightly slanted eyes, like Earth Asians.
